Weston C Breshears, 79, of Lamar, Mo, passed away August 2, 2016 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO.  Weston was born May, 28, 1937 the first born of Lydia (Jeffries) Shelton and John Breshears.  Weston was a man of service, serving his family, his country, during his career in the U.S. Air Force, his church as an active member of Liberty Baptist Church of Lamar, MO, and community as an active member of the local Gideon Chapter.      Wes placed his faith in Jesus Christ and was saved at a very early age. He served as deacon, trustee, Sunday School teacher, pastor's confidant and trusted friend. He loved the Lord with all his heart and served Him faithfully all his days.      When Wes retired from the Air Force in September of 1975, he then worked at Solid State Circuit in Springfield, Mo. until they moved to Lamar, Mo, where he became an active member of Liberty Baptist Church.  Wes substituted at the Christian School where he imparted his vast knowledge of Science as related to God's Holy Word.      Preceding Wes in death are his mother, Lydia (Jeffries) Shelton, his grandson, Kenneth E. Hicks Jr., and brother, Jerry Breshears.      He is survived by his devoted and beloved wife, Patricia (Morris) Breshears of 60 years, his brother Alan (Sally) Breshears, his sister Barbara (Breshears) Rector, his sister Juanita Schmidt of Platte City, CO., his daughter Kathy (Michael) Watkins of Wrightwood, CA, his son Michael (Melody) Breshears of Tulsa, OK, his daughter Toni (Randy) Smith of Branson, MO, his daughter Betti (John) Henry of Crofton, KY, his son Robert (Karen) Breshears of Warrensburg, MO. Weston had his quiver full with 17 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and one great, great-granddaughter      Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Friday August 5,2016 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Morehead Cemetery.      The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.      Contributions are suggested to Gideons International in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
