Wayne H. Young

Wayne Young     Wayne H. Young, age 87 of Lamar, died Tuesday April 28, 2009 at Barton County Memorial Hospital after a short illness.   He was born August 27, 1921 in Camden County, Missouri to Claude and Monta (Douty) Young.  He served in the Army during World War II from 1942 to 1946. Wayne was a Vocational Agriculture Teacher for 46 years and had a big influence on many students over the years.   Wayne married Marie Miller, May 24, 1946 at Stoutland, Missouri after returning from Military Service to his country.  He is survived by Marie his wife of almost 63 years. Additional survivors include two sisters; Natalie Hoffman of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Wilma Ford of Las Vegas, Nevada.   Funeral Services for Wayne will be 3:00 pm Friday May 1, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Lamar.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 7:00 pm Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home.   Memorial Contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Program in care of Daniel Funeral Home
