Wayne Duncan

Loren Wayne Duncan, age 81, of Lamar, Missouri passed away December 9, 2021, at his home in Lamar, MO.   Wayne was born August 29, 1940 in Golden City, Missouri to Loren William Duncan and Francis Leotta Mae (Hurrell) Duncan. Wayne graduated from Golden City High School in the class of 1959. On November 19, 1965, Wayne married Linda Kay Cornell in Golden City, MO, she preceded him in death on February 4, 2013.   Wayne worked as a driver for Lamar Concrete, retiring after 34 years, he was known as "Speedy" because he could get the concrete in so fast and can get into hard places.   Survivors include one son; Dennis (Heather) Duncan of Lamar, MO, three daughters; Lori (Matt) Miller, Melissa McKarus and Renee (Vaughn) Stephen, all of Lamar, MO, eight grandchildren; Emmy (Brett) Todd, Brenyn (Kailey) Jungmann, Stuart McKarus, Rein Stephen and Lexy Stephen, Britni (Brandon) Eaves, Brantly Duncan, Bayli Duncan and Bryli Duncan, five great-grandchildren; Case, Mattie and Navy Todd, Paityn and J.B. Eaves, five brothers; William (Brenda) Duncan of Stockton, Missouri, Danny (Edith) Duncan of Jasper, Missouri, D.D. (Lois) Duncan, Don (Nancy) Duncan and Tinker (Pat) Duncan, all of Lamar, MO, two sisters; Connie Duncan and Carolyn (Bob) McManis all of Lamar, MO and three sister-in-laws; Dhea Cornell, Brenda Cornell and Brenda Rhine.   Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Duncan, two brother-in-laws; Artie Cornell and Harold Cornell.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Missouri with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, Missouri.   The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 prior to the service at Daniel Funeral Home.   Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Lamar Tigers Fishing Team in care of Daniel Funeral Home.   Condolences may be shared at www.dfhlamar.com
