Wanda Mae Dill

Wanda Mae Dill, age 75, of Lamar, MO passed Monday, December 22, 2014 at Freeman Hospital West. Wanda was born October 18, 1939 in Dade County MO to Doyle Dallas Jones and Effie Ester Cleo (Berry) McManis - Jones.  She was united in marriage October 30, 1955 to Kenneth H. Dill at Lamar, MO and together they raised six daughters.  She was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress at Tiger’s Den Café, Lockwood, MO, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Indianola, IA, and at Ruth’s Flowers.  Wanda loved working with plants and flowers and tending to her garden. She enjoyed singing in gospel groups, and quilting with the ladies group at church. Wanda was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle for over 15 years. Survivors include six daughters, Terry Nix, Canon City, CO, Sherry (Jim) Stettler, Lamar, Janie Dunagan, Lamar, Mary (Dennis) Ripperger, Katie Dill, and Kenda (Tim) Miller, all of Indianola, IA; three brothers, Albert (Justine) McManis, Lamar and Derl (Barbara) Jones, Peculiar; a sister, Betty Dill, Springfield, MO; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Dill in 2004; her parents, one brother, Merl Jones and two sisters, Imogene McManis and Bonnie Decker, and two grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Full Gospel Tabernacle with burial to follow at Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, MO. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Contributions are suggested to Full Gospel Tabernacle Quilting Fund, in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
