Vera "Babe" Pauline Rogers, age 91, of Rogers, Arkansas (formerly of Lamar, Missouri) passed away March 4, 2024, at Jamestown Health and Rehabilitation in Rogers, AR.
Babe was born August 15, 1932 in Barton County, Missouri to Ezra M. Blanchard and Isabelle Katherine (Spoon) Blanchard. Babe graduated from Sheldon High School. On November 26, 1950, she married James Cecil Rogers Jr. in Barton County, MO.
Babe and her husband, James, owned and operated Roger's Fly and Lures in Lamar, MO. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood, Missouri and enjoyed her quilting club through the church.
Survivors include two sons, Steve (Cindy) Rogers of Kansas City, Missouri and Russell (Rhonda) Rogers of Independence, Missouri; two daughters, Patricia Rogers of Rogers, AR and Sharon (David) Martin of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Loretta (Dean) Owen of Lamar; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Babe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; one son, Robert Rogers; one daughter, Paula Dixon; two brothers, Irvin Blanchard and Harold Blanchard and three sisters, Lillie Flash, Leta Moore and Clara Hobson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2024, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, MO.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2024 prior to the service at the funeral home.
