Tommy Olin Morris

Tommy Olin Morris, age 79, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away on May 14, 2025.

Tommy was born on August 25, 1945, in Winfield, Kansas, to Patrick Olin Morris and Alice Faye (Bowman) Morris. He graduated from Lamar High School with the Class of 1964.

Tommy was a hardworking man who spent his career in construction and heavy equipment operation. Over the years, he worked with Jerry Crockett, Frank Horton, Wilkes Construction, and Norman Mayfield before establishing his own business. A proud veteran, Tommy honorably served in the United States Army from October 6, 1965, to September 28, 1967.

He is survived by his three sons: Kenny Morris and wife Annastasia of Lamar, MO; Scott Morris of Charlotte, NC; and Patrick Morris of Worthville, KY. He is also survived by his partner and best friend, Candi Carroll of Lamar, MO; five grandchildren, Hailee, Grant, Landry, Ashley, and Gracie; one great-grandchild, Dawson; and one brother, Larry West and wife Alice of Austin, TX.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2025, at Daniel Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, both in Lamar, MO.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the funeral home.
