Timothy Howard Smith

Timothy Howard Smith, age 60, of Maui, Hawaii, passed away June 14, 2021, at Maui Memorial Hospital in Maui, HI after a brief illness. Tim was born October 23, 1960, in Wichita, Kansas. He was raised by his parents, Howard Monroe Smith and Erma Lea Smith. Tim attended Louisburg, Kansas High School and joined the National Guard in 1981. Tim was self-employed and worked as a landscaper. Tim was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church by Pastor Combs in Overland Park, Kansas in 1970, when he was 10 years old. Tim enjoyed any outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. Tim had a large array of friends; he never met a stranger. He was always quick to start a conversation with anyone willing to listen. Tim had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Survivors include his father Howard Smith of Lamar, brother Mike (Beverly) Smith of Lamar, MO and sister Kim Smith of Springfield, Missouri, and a large extended family. Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Erma Lea Smith. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2021, at Barton City Cemetery in Liberal, Missouri with George Haag officiating.
