Thomas Owen Champlin

Thomas Owen Champlin, age 95, of Lamar, Missouri passed away March 19, 2023, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lamar, MO.
 
Thomas was born November 26, 1927 in Ridgeway, Missouri to Millard Filmore Champlin and Tressie Leola (Sweet) Champlin. Thomas graduated from Ridgeway High School. On May 27, 1950, Thomas married Winifred Ella LaFollette in Ridgeway, MO. 
 
Thomas worked as a terminal operator for Williams Pipeline in Jasper, Missouri. He was a member of VFW Post #3691, a Mason, a founding member of the Lamar Elk's Lodge #2800 and a lifelong member of the Barton County Eagles Lodge #4405.

Survivors include one son, Dennis (Vickie) Champlin of Lamar, MO; one daughter, Debbie (Rick) Puryear of Joplin, MO; one grandchild, Kristen (Brenton) Reavley of Parkville, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Ella Reavley, Jackson Reavley and Trinity Reavley; a sister-in-law,  Sharon Adams of Kansas City, Missouri.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Winnie, two brothers and two sisters.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2023, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Lamar Elk's Lodge #2800 or the Barton County Eagles Lodge #4405 in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
