Shayla Crockett

Shayla Kay Crockett, age 14, of Lamar, Missouri passed away March 28, 2021. Shayla was born April 22, 2006 to Dwayne Allen Crockett and Leslie Kay (Hurst) Crockett. Shayla was a freshman at Lamar High School, where she was involved in track and was a member of Lamar 4H and Lamar FFA. Shayla played volleyball throughout middle school. Shayla loved her dogs, horses, and even broke her own horses. She loved going to flea markets and antique stores. She loved photography and would take lots of pictures of her animals and outdoors. Shayla also enjoyed all kinds of hunting including deer and raccoon hunting with her dogs. She was always ready for horse camping with friends and family. She loved spending time with her grandparents.   Survivors include her parents, Dwayne and Leslie Crockett, one brother, Wyatt Crockett, one sister, Anna Lynn Crockett, her grandparents; Marilyn Hurst and Don & Donna Crockett, all of Lamar, Aunts and Uncles; Cynthia Hurst, Dustin & Cindy Crockett, Derek & Amy Crockett, and Darin & Andrea Crockett all of Lamar, and cousins; Dage Crockett, Dacy Crockett, Logan Crockett, Chloe Crockett, Ea Swindle, Trace Crockett, Keystin Crockett, April Crockett, Brenden Crockett, Della Crockett and Derek Hurst.   Preceding Shayla in death were her grandfather, Ed Hurst, great-grandparents; Doralee Marie Haile & Robert E. Haile, Elva Frances Crockett & Ralph Crockett and Willard & Lorene Edington.   A memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Daniel Funeral Home.   Contributions are suggested to the family in care of Daniel Funeral Home.   Condolences may be shared at www.dfhlamar.com
