Sharon Maynard

Sharon Kay Maynard, age 59, of Carthage, Missouri passed at her home, Monday August 3, 2015, after a year long battle with cancer.      Sharon was born, January 23, 1956 in Lafayette, Indiana to Carl Bradley Adams and Nella Mae (Wilson) Adams.  After graduating from Monticello, Indiana High School in 1974, she attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.  On March 20, 1976 she married Rick Maynard in Monticello, Indiana and together they raised their twin sons.      Sharon had worked as a real estate agent for Charles Burt Realty for over 10 years and had worked at the Carthage High School as a secretary for the principal for 23 years.  She was active for many years in the BSF (Bible Study Fellowship), had gone to Willow Crest in Miami, Oklahoma nearly every Friday night for over 10 years to minister to the children; had made at least ten mission trips to Mexico with Way Of The Cross Ministries, and was a Worship Leader at Grace Pointe Assembly of God for many years.  Sharon was also the first place winner of the Indiana Teen Talent singing contest in high school.      Sharon leaves behind her husband Rick of 39 years; two sons and their wives, Shane and Anna Maynard and Shawn and Shanna Maynard all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her father, Carl Adams of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three brothers and their wives, Gary and Dot Adams, of Delphi, Indiana, Carl “Yog” and Elizabeth Adams, of New Paris, Indiana and Rob and Becky Adams, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jessica, Alexis, Claudia, Cody, and Cierra; and one great granddaughter, Ayana.      Preceding her in death were her mother Nella, and twin siblings that died at birth.      Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Friday, August 7, 2015 at Grace Pointe Assembly of God Church, Carthage, with burial to follow at Jasper Cemetery, southeast of Carthage.      The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the church.      Contributions are suggested to Assemblies of God Bible Alliance-Fire Bibles, in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
