Ronald James Lovan

On November 7, 2024 at 4:52 AM, Ron rang the cancer bell in Heaven.

Ronald James Lovan, age 55, of Lamar, Missouri was born December 6, 1968 to Ronald and Kathy Duncan. Ron was healed in Heaven November 7, 2024 after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.

Ron was adopted by Bob Lovan when he was 8 years old, and he proudly carried out the Lovan last name.

Ron attended his school years at Lamar Schools and graduated from Lamar High School in 1987. He joined the Army National Guard in August 1987 where he was a Petroleum Supply Specialist. Ron served during Operation Just Cause, Operation Desert Shield, and Operation Desert Storm.

Ron married the love of his life, Kamber Koger, on April 28, 2007, becoming a blended family with his sons, Caleb and Blake. Together, they had two amazing children, Jaxsyn and Reed.

Ron loved his family more than anything and worked hard to provide for them. After working night shift at 3M, Ron would spend the day working in his shop. With very little sleep, Ron would always find a way to be at his kids' sporting events, take them hunting, or go for a Talon ride. Spending time with his family was always his top priority.

While he looked tough on the outside, Ron had a huge, soft heart. He was always willing to help anyone at anytime, no matter how big or small, and he gave everyone a chance no matter their background. Ron's sense of humor was always evident in everything he did. He always had a funny story, joke, or sarcastic comment for everyone. You never knew what he would say, do, or buy next...like the time he bought a short bus and picked the kids up from school in it! They were embarrassed, but Ron thought it was pretty great! He always kept us on our toes!

Whether you knew him as Ron or "Iben", you know his love for his country ran deep. Ron was never afraid to share his beliefs and truths no matter what others said or how many Facebook accounts got deleted! Ron was a true American Patriot and has been an inspiration to so many.

Ron was a member of Milford Christian Church and was baptized August 9, 2024. He loved the Lord and prayed daily. His faith in Jesus never waivered, even on the hard days. We know he is healed in Heaven.

Ron was passionate about being an organ donor and always made it a point to point out the symbol on his driver's license to his kids. Ron was able to give the gift of sight to two special people.

Left to carry out the best parts of Ron are his wife, Kamber, and his children Caleb (Caddy) Lovan, Blake Lovan, Jaxsyn Lovan, and Reed Lovan. Also surviving is his mother Kathy (Neil) Simons, sisters Brandy Kendrick, Shay Medley, Dillen Lovan, Abby Duncan, and Tabitha Stansell. Brothers Trampas Brooks and Preston Lovan. Grandchildren Jaylin Lovan, Declan Lovan, and Harper Lovan, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Greeting Ron in Heaven were his fathers, Ronald Duncan and Bob Lovan, as well as his grandparents, James and Reba Fanning.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Milford Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Kamber Lovan for Jaxsyn and Reed Lovan's college fund.

Condolences may be shared at www.dfhlamar.com.
