Robert “Neal” Bartlett, age 84, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away May 13, 2026.
Neal was born October 25, 1941, in Carthage, Missouri, to Clyde Raymond Bartlett and Louise Lorene (Adams) Bartlett. He graduated from Golden City High School.
Neal dedicated his entire career to working as an electrician for Western Electric, which later became AT&T, before retiring after many years of service. He was a current member of the Independence Masonic Lodge.
Neal enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, gardening, mowing his yard, and spending time with his dogs. He especially loved football and could often be found watching multiple games at once on his two televisions — his own version of picture-in-picture. Whether it was high school, college, or NFL football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, Neal was always a devoted fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindee (Rusty) Hay and Sherri (John) Borgmeyer; four grandchildren, Ryan (Christie) Hay, Troy (Heather) Hay, Ross Borgmeyer, and Matt (Makenzie) Borgmeyer; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Rodney (Joyce) Bartlett; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Darius Bartlett and Joe Bartlett.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Dudenville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Daniel Funeral Home.
