Rex Werts

Rex Allan Werts left us on October 1, 2012 in Shallotte, North Carolina. Rex was born June 10, 1951, in San Diego, California, the second son of Verna Jean and Albert Claude Werts. Rex was married to Suzette Silva on February 14, 1973. He and Suzette had two children, Rex Allan, Jr., and Corrinna Marie Scafidi. Rex leaves behind two grandchildren by Corrinna; Isabella Josephine Scafidi and Alexandra Lianu Scafidi. Rex married Peggy Padgett March 31, 2001. Rex grew up and attended school in the San Diego area and lived most of his adult life in the Carolinas where he found a true love of fishing and outdoor activities. Motorcycles were always his passion. He enjoyed riding and working on them. Rex had tremendous mechanical ability and could fix about anything. In his career Rex was a sheet metal fabricator, machinist and high voltage lineman. Rex was always his own person and walked to his own drummer. Rex is survived by his mother, Jean; his two children, Rex and Corrinna; his grandchildren, Isabella and Alexandra; and his brother, Thomas.  A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 at Howell Cemetery, Milford, MO with Rev. Larry Garfield officiating.
