Rena Barr

Rena E. Barr, age 81, of Lathrop, Missouri passed away September 7, 2020 at her home.   Rena was born September 9, 1938 in Harwood, MO to Abram Frank Gruver and Nellie (Hillsman) Gruver.    Rena worked as a supervisor at an ammunition plant.  She enjoyed her family, time with her grand kids and great grand kids. She loved her flowers and hummingbirds. Her hobbies were puzzles, gardening and crocheting.    Survivors include a son Tim (Lisa) Riley, Lamar, MO; three daughters, Carol Barlow, Donna (Jamie) Bogart, Agency, MO and Lori (Danny) Wolf, Warsaw, MO; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Herring , Billy (Alaina) Dohle, Chelsea Riley, Trevon Riley, Shelby (Jesse) Neal, Katrina (Alex) Chastain, Ben Peterson and Brooke Peterson; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.   Preceding Rena in death were her parents; three brothers, Albert, John and Lawrence Gruver; four sisters, Pauline Moore, Loretta Green, JoAnn Blackwell, and Jane Taffner.   The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Howell Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.     Contributions are suggested and made payable to American Cancer Society in care of Daniel Funeral Home
