Phillip Lee Nash

Phillip Lee Nash, age 76, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away February 25, 2024, at his home.
 
Phillip was born August 13, 1947 in Warsaw, Missouri to George Gray Nash and Hallie Belle (Kinkead) Nash. On December 19, 1969, Phillip married Carol Jean Griffitt in Jackson County, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 21, 2024.
 
Phillip worked as an over the road truck driver for Yellow Freight. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 41 Kansas City, MO and Local 541 Kansas City, MO. After his retirement he assisted veterans in obtaining benefits.

Survivors include two sons, Phillip (Cindy) Nash II., of Belton, Missouri and Justin Nash of Kansas City, KS; one daughter, Jennie Harris of Shawnee, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Cody Nash, Katie Harris, Shelby Nash, Nicholas Harris, Sydney Knauff, Kenzie Albert, Brendan Dorman and Violet McCracken; and two great-grandchildren, Katlynn Nash and Cooper Nash.

Phillip was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his parents; four brothers, Buddy Raines, George Keith Nash, Joseph Nash, John Kinkead Nash; two sisters, Bonnie Raines, Norma Raines and one son-in-law, Kevin Harris.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Killey Cemetery, also in Lamar, MO. 

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to either the Veterans Administration or Killey Cemetery in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
