Patricia "Pat" Blanchard

Patricia "Pat" May Blanchard, age 63, of Lamar, Missouri passed away October 22, 2019, at Freeman Hospital West, in Joplin, MO. Pat was born October 4, 1956 in Rolla, MO to Ralph Lawrence Schmitt and Carol Faye (Baker) Schmitt. On October 4, 1974 she married Kerry Blanchard at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lamar, MO and together they raised two sons. Pat worked in the packing department at O'Sullivan Industries and enjoyed painting crafts as well as fishing and target practice. She was a member of Lamar First Christian Church. Survivors include her husband Kerry Blanchard; two sons, Josh (Amanda) Blanchard and Kenny (Camille) Blanchard, all of Lamar, MO; two brothers, Lawrence (Hui Cha) Schmitt, Joplin, MO and Bill (Brenda) Schmitt, Golden City, MO; five sisters, Carol (Jim) Dill, Lamar, MO, Mary Ballard, Nevada, MO, Norma (Jake) Newsome, Lamar, MO; Lucy Braun, Phoenix, AZ, and Nancy Hatfield, Lamar, MO; five grandchildren, Auri, Denver, CO, Shadol, Nevada, MO, Kayne, Lamar, MO, Malia, Lamar, MO and Amielia, Lamar, MO. Preceding Pat in death were her parents and a sister, Donna Schmitt in 1963. Service will be 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Daniel Funeral Home with Mike Gage officiating. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Lake Cemetery. Contributions are suggested and made payable to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriner's Children's Hospital in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
