Pat Watkins

James Patrick Watkins, age 79, of Lamar, Missouri died at his home Friday, September 21, 2018. Pat was born August 25, 1939 in Flintville, Tennessee to Riley and Lillian (Garrand) Watkins and graduated from Franklin County High School in 1957. James Patrick Watkins and Brenda Joyce Spier were united in marriage on March 15,1974 in Tyler, Texas, she survives. Pat worked as a welder for Tyler Pipe in Tyler, TX, retiring in 1985. In addition to his wife, Pat is survived by three daughters, Deta (David) Donnelly, Rockwall, Texas, Terry (Tracy) Shepard, Eldorado Springs, Missouri, and Patricia Hanna (Thomas Berger), Tyler, Texas: two brothers, Jerry (Betty) Watkins, Manchester, Tennessee, and Mickey (Carolyn) Watkins, Deckard, TN: one sister, Peggy Brown, Estill Springs, TN: nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Jack Watkins, and Junior Watkins; two sisters Jean Hobbs and Billie Johnson. Service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, September 29,, 2018 at Daniel Funeral Home. Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
