Norma J. Curtis

Norma June (Epple) Curtis, age 62, passed away on June 24, 2009 at Barton County Memorial Hospital. Norma was born July 3, 1946 to George L. Epple and Hattie L. (Smith) Epple. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1964 and was a lifetime resident of Lamar, Missouri.  On September 29, 1972, she married Warren L. Curtis and her only child Loretta, was born of this union.  She was an employee of Gilster Mary-Lee Popcorn Plant.  Norma leaves behind her daughter, Loretta L. Scheetz and her husband Dale W. Scheetz; five grandchildren, Megan L. Scheetz, Jarica R. Willet, Erica L. Scheetz, Brianna L. Scheetz, and Cody W. Scheetz.  Other survivors include her brother, William “Bill” Epple; sister-in-law Glenda M. Epple; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as many friends and her beloved dog Ernest.  Norma is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Margaret L . Gerths, Ellen Jo Ingalls; and one brother, George Marvin Epple.  Visitation will be Friday June 26, 2009 from 6-7 p.m. and Funeral Services will be Saturday June 27 at 10 a.m. at Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, MO.  Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
