Nic Rives

Funeral Service 6:00 pm Monday - July 20, 2015 Nicholas “Nic” Charles Rives, age 34, of Noble, Oklahoma, and formerly of Lamar, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Cox Hospital South, Springfield, Missouri. He had been visiting his sister in Billings, Missouri. Nic was born December 21, 1980 at Lamar, Missouri to Clark Rives and Tami (Sade).  Nic attended school in Lamar and was of the Baptist faith. He had worked in a greenhouse until he was no longer able to work because of a heart condition.  He enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing and anything that would get him outdoors. Nic leaves behind a son, Colby Rives of Stillwater, Oklahoma; a daughter, Kaitlin Hininger of Joplin, Missouri; his mother Tami Taylor of Noble, Oklahoma; two sisters, Natasha Nelson and Matthew Baker of Billings, Missouri and Nikki Rives of Lamar; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death were his father Clark Rives; a brother, Tommy Rives on April 17, 2015; maternal grandmother, Dollie Thornton; and two uncles, Jack Sade and David Sade. Funeral service will be 6:00 pm, Monday, July 20, 2015 at Daniel Funeral Home. Private family burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery.
