Myrl E. Davis

Myrl E. Davis, age 90, of Lamar, died Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Lockwood, MO after a short illness. He was born August 18, 1918 at Montezuma, KS to Clarence E. Davis and Etrulia E. Meyer.  He was a lifelong area resident and spent most of his life as a Cattle Farmer.   Myrl is survived by one sister, Elsie Cooley, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; Harold, Elmer, Francis, and Gerald Davis; and one sister, Wanda Blackford.   Visitation for Myrl will be 6:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Daniel Funeral Home.   Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lake Cemetery.  Bob Davis will officiate. Music will be provided by Joyce Davis, Roberta Wood, Dollie Shields, and Jake Wood.  Pallbearers will be John Blackford, Darrell Blackford, Raymond Davis, Josh Davis, Melvin Davis, Marvin Russell and Gerald Cooley.
