Margene Delores Lamb

The family has requested that masks be worn at the service.   Margene Delores Lamb, age 76, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away January 4, 2022, at her home in Lamar.   Margene was born June 20, 1945, in Camden, Arkansas, to Vance Montgomery Driskill and Geneva (Lenderman) Driskill. Margene graduated from Jefferson City (Missouri) High School in the class of 1963 and Bacone College, Muskogee, Oklahoma, in 1967.    Margene worked as a registered nurse. Her hobbies included crafts, woodworking, hiking, camping, photography, and working puzzles. She loved animals, books, and the outdoors. Margene was a volunteer for the Salvation Army, Lamar Animal Shelter, the Good Samaritan Shop, and the local Girl Scouts when her daughters were little.   Survivors include two daughters, Tina Lamb of Lamar, MO., and Amy (Lawrence) Merck of Fayetteville, AR., seven grandchildren; two brothers, Gary (Dawn) Driskill of Lebanon, Tennessee, and Michael Driskill of Farmers Branch, Texas; one sister, Carol (Tommy) Smith of Bartonville, Texas; and eight nieces and nephews.   Margene was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Ann Miller.   Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2022, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar.   Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Lamar Animal Shelter in care of Daniel Funeral Home.   Condolences may be shared at www.dfhlamar.com
