Louise Bangs

Emma Louise Bangs, of Milford, Missouri, passed Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Truman Healthcare Center, at the age of 99.           Louise was born March 13, 1917 at Randall, Kansas to Helmer Samuel and Nellie Edna (Wells) Hoel.  After graduating high school, she attended college in Springfield, Missouri and majored in Art.  While in Springfield, she met and married Rean Donald Bangs and together they raised their only daughter, Donna.  They owned and   operated Bangs Greenhouse in Jerico Springs and raised Charolais cattle on their farm. As a lover of art, she was a member of the Art League, loved to paint horses, and painted several baptistery murals for local churches. Louise was also a member of Milford Christian Church.           Louise leaves behind her daughter Donna Holt, Milford, Missouri; two granddaughters, Teresa and husband Terrence Winchell, Lamar, Missouri and Sharon and husband Matt Dickey, Joplin, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Tristen and Taylen Winchell, Timothy and wife Ellisse, Stephen, and Hannah Dickey.  Preceding her in death were her husband Rean Bangs in 1993, and a son-in-law, Gene Holt.           Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Anna Edna Cemetery, Jerico Springs, Missouri.           The family will receive friends 1:00 pm until service time Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home.
