Lori Ann James, age 55, a long time Barton County resident, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood, with her daughter, Leah, at her side.
Lori was born February 11, 1960, in Oceanside, California to Ronal and Karen (Clubb) Campbell. She was preceded in death by her mother and a special uncle and aunt, Jimmy & Dona Clubb.
Many will remember Lori from the ten years she worked at the Lamar Walmart store. Building on her retail experience, she accepted the opportunity to manage the Abilene, Texas Harbor Freight Store. Moving back to Missouri, Lori managed the Stockton Dollar General for a year before failing health forced her to retire. She achieved the goals she had set for herself, proudly working her way to the top of the corporate ladder as a strong, successful, independent woman. She was a wonderful mother, Nana, friend, and companion.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Daniel Queen of Lockwood and five grandchildren, Emma, Page, Gaege, Haiden, and Lauryn.
Honoring Lori’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Waters Cemetery northwest of Jasper, Missouri.
