Linda Sue Stalker

Linda Sue Stalker, age 73, of Golden City, MO died unexpectedly, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Barton County Memorial Hospital. Linda was born March 3, 1941 at Lincoln, NE and was raised by her step-father and mother, Billy and Regina (Duvall) Wolff. She graduated Lincoln High School in 1958 and on June 7, 1958 married Doyle L. Stalker, and together they raised their two children. Linda and Doyle purchased Golden Business Forms and she worked there 10 years as the bookkeeper. She was on the Library Board, enjoyed painting, making stained glass, decorating cakes and traveling with her husband. Survivors include her husband of over 56 years; a son, Alan & Brenda Stalker, Golden City; a daughter Cindi & Jimmy Peterson, Dunnegan, MO; five grandchildren, Haileigh Courtney, Justin, Bridgett, and Alex; seven great -grandchildren; Aidan, Tucker, Sawyer, Kyler, Koltin, Alissa, and Ava. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Ronald and Robert Mellinger, and one sister Wanda Thorn. A memorial service will be 10:00 am, Thursday January 29, 2015 at  First Christian Church, Golden City. Contributions are suggested to Humane Society of Barton County, in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
