Linda R. Patterson

Linda Rae Patterson, age 64, of Lamar, MO died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Linda was born June 5, 1948 at Lamar to Neil Milton Daetwyler and Gene (Conn) Daetwyler.  She graduated Lamar High School in 1966 and went on to receive a Bachelors Degree and then a Masters Degree from PSU in History and Library Science. On April 23, 1971 she married Roy Wayne Patterson at Joplin, MO.  She worked for 28 years as the Elementary Librarian for the Lamar School District. Linda loved flea markets, antiques, ceramics and was of course an avid reader. Survivors include her husband Wayne of 42 years, and her mother, Gene Daetwyler, of Lamar. She was preceded in death by her father, Neil Daetwyler. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Round Prairie Cemetery, Milford, MO. Friends may view Linda after 9:00 am Monday. The family will receive friends at Linda's mother's home, 802 Walnut, Lamar, MO. Contributions are suggested to Lamar First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Lamar First Baptist Church Library Fund, or Barton County Sr. Citizens Center.
