Lee Buzzard

Leonard Lee Buzzard, age 85, of Lamar, MO passed away February 9, 2021, at Cox Barton County Hospital surrounded by loved ones.   Lee was born October 12, 1935 in Lamar, MO to Roy Richard and Ethel Milton (White) Buzzard. On October 27, 1957, Lee married Marguerite Marie (Rawllings) Buzzard in Liberal, MO, and together they had four children.  He was the owner/operator of B & O Construction, served in the National Guard for 13 years, was a charter member of the Eternal Order of the Eagles, and member the Milford Christian Church.   Survivors include his wife, Marguerite; one son, Jim (Lisa) Buzzard, Lamar, MO; two daughters, Janet (Charles) McArthur and Jackie Speights, all of Lamar, MO; one brother, Wayne (Patsy) Buzzard, St. Paul, KS; five grandchildren, Katie McArthur, Anya (Tyler) Gripka, Alexa Buzzard, Laura Speights and Cole (Tabby) Speights and five great-grandchildren.   Preceding Leonard in death were his parents; a daughter, Joyce Buzzard; a sister Marguerite Thornburg; a brother, Harvey Buzzard; three half-brothers, Harold, Donald and Earl Blades, and several extended family members.   The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021, at Daniel Funeral Home with a private burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon, until service time, Friday.     Contributions are suggested and made payable to Milford Christian Church, in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
