Kevin Stump

Kevin Stump, age 45, of Austin, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 in his childhood home in rural Lockwood, Missouri, surrounded by his family.  He lost his long battle with cancer, but actually won as he is at home with his Lord and Savior.      Kevin and his twin sister, Kathy, were born November 10, 1970 at Fort Scott, Kansas, to Eugene and Connie (Trent) Stump.   He was preceded in death by Kathy; his paternal grandparents, Lee and Faye Stump; and his maternal grandmother, Marie Trent.      After graduating from Lockwood High School in 1989, Kevin went on to graduate from SMSU, earning an agronomy degree in 1994.  He worked at Tindle Farm Supply/ADM for 13 years.  Kevin then worked for Oakley Fertilizer for eight years in Beebe, Arkansas where he become an avid Razorbacks fan.  He then achieved his dream job, working for a family owned company, Delta Grow Seed, Inc., located in England, Arkansas. Kevin was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church of Cabot, Arkansas. Kevin loved the people he worked with and they became his second family, standing by him throughout his fight with cancer.      Survivors include the mother of his children, Donette Spann; his son, Justin and daughter, Katelyn; parents, Eugene and Connie Stump; sister, Tammy (Jonie) Engle; and brother, Darren (Melinda) Stump.  Also surviving are his nieces and nephews he loved very much, Jason Engle, Cassie Gomez, Cody Wright, Jackson Engle, Hunter, Landon, Mackenzie and Avery Stump, and great-nieces and great-nephews, Addie, Bentley and Lanie Engle, Connor and Carter Gomez.      The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17th at Daniel Funeral Home.      Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18th at First Baptist Church of Lamar.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.      Memorial contributions are suggested to a scholarship fund for Kevin’s children in care of Connie Stump.
