Kenneth Gene "Buck" Rogers

Kenneth Gene "Buck" Rogers, age 86, of Sheldon, Missouri passed away July 25, 2021, in Lamar, Missouri.   Buck was born December 8, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri to Cecil Loren Rogers and Laura Jeanette (Howard) Rogers. Buck served in the United States Marine Corp and the United States Air Force.   Buck was the owner and proprietor of "Buck's 4A Welding" Almost Anything, Anytime, Anywhere. He also operated the Blue Ridge Roller Rink in Raytown, Missouri. He retired and moved to Sheldon in 1999.   In his retirement he enjoyed fishing, scrapping and being a great neighbor. He was also known to horse trade just about anything of value. He had a deep and abiding love for his family and his church. He will be genuinely missed by the entire community.   Survivors include one son; Ed (Kelli) Rogers of Overland Park, Kansas, three daughters; Terri Rogers, Kansas City, Kansas, Christina Horgan, Orlando, Florida and Sandra Rogers, Jacksonville, Florida, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother; Keith (Ruth) Rogers, Kansas City, Missouri and two sisters; Lorraine (John) Powers, Blue Springs, Missouri and Karen Rogers, Kansas City, Missouri.   Preceding Kenneth in death were his parents.   Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Milford Christian Church in Lamar, MO.   Contributions are suggested and made payable to Milford Christian Church in care of Daniel Funeral Home.   Condolences may be shared at www.dfhlamar.com
