Kenneth Edward Parker

Kenneth Edward Parker, age 52, of Lamar, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009, at his home.        Kenny was born March 2, 1957, at Monett, Missouri, one of the nine children of Gerald and Goldie (Combs) Parker.  He was preceded by his parents; a brother, Danny Parker; and a sister, Kathryn Patrick.        Kenny was an avid fisherman who enjoyed camping and any activity that could be shared with his family.        Survivors include two sons, Gerald Lee Parker and Dusty Lee Parker, both of Lamar; three daughters, Crystal D. Metcalf, Fort Scott, Kansas; Myla Springston, Nevada, Missouri, and Stephanie Parker, Carthage, Missouri; two brothers, Ernest G. Parker, Alba, Missouri, and David Parker, Sarcoxie, Missouri; four sisters, Evalyn M. Cleveland, Carthage, Linda I. Cleveland, Avilla, Sharon Kay Smith and Betty L. Maggard, both of Lamar; ten grandchildren; and a large extended family.        Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.  Burial will be in Curtis Cemetery in Carthage.        Memorial contributions are suggested to the Parker family in care of Daniel Funeral Home.        This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent at www.danielfuneralhome.net
