Kathy Haynes

Kathleen Marleen Haynes, age 43, passed away at 3:30 a.m., Sunday, April 26, 2009, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.        Kathy was born July 16, 1965, in Nevada, Missouri, to Hiram Sr. and Betty Lou (Howard) Sparks.  She had lived in Lamar most of her life, and will be remembered as a good-hearted, easy-going friend to many. Kathy had worked as a waitress and professional dancer at various private clubs.  She recently moved to Kansas City, Kansas where her sister Patricia cared for her during her courageous battle with cancer.        Survivors include a son, John Rickman, Lamar; two daughters, Jewell Hosein, state of Florida, and Betty Lynn Vanderpoel, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas; five brothers, Arthur Trowbridge, Miller, Missouri, Hiram Sparks, Jr., Kansas City, Kansas, Joe Koehn, Walker, Missouri, Homer Sparks, Nevada, Missouri, and Donald Sparks, Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Precious Sarah Ritter, Lamar, and Patricia Stump, Kansas City, Kansas; and three grandsons.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lula May Sparks.        Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 1st, at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time.        This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent at www.danielfuneralhome.net
