Karen Hardy

Karen Sue Hardy, age 73, of Liberal, MO passed away February 15, 2021, at her home with family by her side.   Karen was born July 18, 1947, in Lamar, MO to Jack Byron Brous and Pauline Frances (Capp) Brous. She graduated from High School in 1965 and MSSU in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in accounting. On July 2, 1973, Karen married Gregory Allen Hardy in Miami, OK. She had worked in accounting at Barton Insurance Company for over 30 years and was a member of Hannon Free Will Baptist Church. She was also an active leader in the Shiloh 4-H Club and enjoyed quilting.   Survivors include her husband Greg; two sons, Brian (Elizabeth) King, Liberal, MO and Todd (Staci) King, Lamar, MO; three daughters, Kimberly Hardy, Carterville, MO, Stacy Endicott, Liberal, MO, and Angela Moreno, Liberal, MO; four brothers, Jim (Robyn) Brous, Calvin ( Bonnie) Brous, Danny Brous, Kenny (Robin) Brous; two sisters, Barbara (Greg) Moore and Staci (Rick) Scarberry; 15 grandchildren, Keith Rea, Gregory Rea, Carson Endicott, Noah Endicott, Jacob King, Christopher (Whitlea) King, Kennedy King, Madison King, Parker King, Presli King, Andrew (Kelsey) Moreno, Ashley (Tyler)  Moreno Daniel, Caitlin (Trent) Moreno Morgan, Cade (Ashley) Moreno and Caleb Moreno; nine great-grandchildren, Honor & Curran Rea, Olivia King, Hazel & Grant Morgan, Elise & Elias Moreno, Wyatt & Owen Daniel.   Preceding Karen in death were her parents, a daughter, Lori Lynn King, and a grandson, Dwyte Rea.   The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oakton Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at the funeral home.     Contributions are suggested and made payable to Gideons International in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
