Judy Kay Jordan-Probert

Judy Kay Jordan-Probert, age 52, of Lamar, MO died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her home after a battle with cancer. Judy was born July 2, 1961 at St. Louis, MO and was adopted by her loving parents Venson Willy Jordan and Erma Lee (Coles) Jordan.  After graduating from Lamar High School, she went to Kansas City to become a Respiratory Therapist. She then went to Burge School of Nursing in Springfield, MO and graduated in 1985 as a Registered Nurse. Judy had worked at Freeman Hospital and Barton County Memorial Hospital.  She also worked as a traveling nurse working in Los Angeles, CA, New Orleans, LA, Reno, NV, but her favorite was her assignment in Honolulu, HI.  She had most recently worked at Barton County Health Department and St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Carthage, MO as long as her health would allow.  Judy married Lee Kenneth “Buddy” Probert on July 2, 2011 at Makapu’u Beach Honolulu, HI. Judy loved to travel and loved Boxers, especially her Boxer, Harley, who would go on long walks with her to the Lamar City Lake. Judy also took loving care of her mother Erma until her death in 2010. Judy leaves behind her husband “Buddy” of the home, two step-sons, Alex Probert and Grant Probert. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Randy Jordan. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, July 19, 2013 at Daniel Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Rev. Galen Friedrichs officiating. Private family burial will be at I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Golden City, MO. Contributions are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
