Juanita Rookstool

Juanita Rookstool, age 74, Nixa, MO, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.      Juanita was born December 4, 1941 at Everton, Missouri, to Lee Thomas Stump and Rita Faye (Ford) Stump.  She graduated from Lockwood High School in 1959 and on June 2, 1962 she married Lawrence H. Rookstool at Kansas City, Missouri.  Juanita and Larry lived in Kansas City for a number of years before moving to Nixa, where she worked as a salvage and claims specialist for American National Property and Casualty Insurance Company until she retired in 2013.  She and Larry attended the Friendly Baptist Church in Branson, Missouri.  She loved fishing and making quilts.      Juanita is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years; two daughters, Lisa Scheetz, Raytown, Missouri and Kimberly (Rick) McKenzie, Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Robert (Laura Lee) Stump, Lockwood, Missouri and Eugene (Connie) Stump Lockwood, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jessica Scheetz, Nicole O’Dell, Amber O’Dell, Alison Scheetz and Kristin O’Dell; and one great granddaughter, Adalynn Rodriguez.      Preceding her in death were her parents.      Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.       The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time.      Contributions are suggested to American Diabetes Association in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
