Juanita Faye Pennell, age 75, of Lamar, passed away December 9, 2020, at Freeman Hospital West, Joplin, MO.
Juanita was born November 22, 1945 in Eldorado Springs, MO to Lloyd Conklin and Ethel Lucille (Teague) Tolle. She graduated from Eldorado Springs High School in the class of 1963, and on May 11, 1963, Juanita married Lonnie Alvin Pennell at the Newport Baptist Church, and together they raised four daughters.
Juanita worked as a Head Cook for the Golden City Schools, had worked over 23 years at Golden City Meat Company, and had been a housekeeper at Barton County Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, canning, gardening, hunting and fishing. She was a partner in ministry with her husband Lonnie and was very active in the Newport Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie; three daughters, Sherry Brewer, Golden City, MO, Vicky Jones, Golden City, MO, and Rebekah Biery, Hutchinson, KS; one sister, Carol (Jim) Ramey, Parsons, KS; five grandchildren, Brandon Jones, Brittney Jones, Lena Brewer, Buddy Biery and Bella Biery; and one great-grandson, Isaiah Cone. Preceding Juanita in death were her parents; one brother, Lloyd Tolle; two sisters, Phyllis Barger and Connie Williams; and a daughter, Debra Faye Pennell on December 18, 2002.
A graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020, at Newport Cemetery.
