John Brennan Jr.

John Ritchey Brennan, Jr., age 52, of Lamar, passed away Sunday evening, December 14, 2014 at Barton County Memorial Hospital.      John was born November 22, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri to John Sr. and Mary (Howarton) Brennan.  Growing up in the country, his natural ability to care for livestock and break horses prepared him well for his long-time career as a ranch manager.  He worked for Owen-Good Ranch, first near Belton and later in the Jerico Springs area.       On May 23, 1998, at Arcola, Missouri, John married Sherri Wilson and she survives, of the home.  Additional survivors include his son, Travis (Blair) Brennan, Grain Valley, Missouri; a step-son, Courten Eador of Texas; a sister, Patti Brennan, Caddo Mills, Texas; a niece, Megan (Nathan) Dawson, Caddo Mills; several cousins and a large extended family.      A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19th at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Friday.  Honoring John’s wishes, cremation will take place after the service.      Memorial contributions are suggested to Barton County Memorial Hospital in care of the funeral home.
