Helen Margureite Foster, age 90, passed away January 1, 2014 at Deseret Health and Rehabilitation of Oswego, Kansas.  Mrs. Foster lived in Barton County most of her life, moving to Oregon in 2005 and later to Oswego to be near family.      Helen was born May 15, 1923 at Missouri Valley, Iowa, one of the two daughters of Clyde and Frankie (Eberhart) Medlin.  While most of her school years were spent at Milford, she moved with her family to the Irwin community and graduated from Lamar High School in 1941.  On April 4, 1942, at Mount Vernon, Missouri, Helen married Floyd "Leo" Foster and they had celebrated over 48 years together before his passing on September 2, 1990.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Hazel McLaughlin; and a daughter, Phyllis Farley.      Survivors include her children and their spouses, Carolyn (Ken) Hutsell, Bullhead City, Arizona, Larry (Debbie) Foster, Oswego, Kansas, and Pam (Bob) Coutu, Coventry, Rhode Island; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.      Helen was a devoted farm wife, mother, and grandmother who will be remembered for her hospitality and work ethic.  While she enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, her greatest pleasure was found in the fellowship of family and friends.      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4th at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday.  Burial will be in Howell Cemetery.      Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
