Gary Bruce Colin

Gary Bruce Colin, age 74, of Lamar, Missouri passed away March 4, 2023.
 
Gary was born January 23, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Bruce Colin and Muriel Zona (Potter) Colin. On March 7, 1969, Gary married Linda Caryl Phipps in Lamar, MO.
 
Gary enlisted in the United States Army in February of 1969 and retired in February of 1993. Gary worked as a truck driver, logistics coordinator and tire salesman for John Deere (Heritage Tractor) for over 40 years. He was a member of Oakton United Methodist Church and enjoyed helping out with anything that needed to be done around the Church. Gary's favorite pastime was cheering on his grandchildren at all of their events. 

Survivors include his wife, Linda; two sons, Jason Colin and his wife Robin of Lamar, and Adam Colin and his wife Mary of Joplin; one daughter, Amanda Robertson and her husband Todd of Lamar; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
 
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Oakton United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery (Oakton). 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Daniel Funeral Home.
