Frances Esther Gordon, age 83, of Lamar, Missouri passed away February 18, 2019, at Mercy Hospital Joplin. Frances was born March 17, 1935 in Chanute, KS to Claude Duvah Perry and Edna Leona (Todd) Perry. Frances graduated from Chanute High School and received her BS Degree from Pittsburg State University. In 1961, Frances married  David Paul Gordon in Wichita, KS and together they raised eight children. Frances worked as a  Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Med Tech and as a cook.  She attended Lamar First Baptist Church.Frances is survived by her children, Isa Gordon-West Lamar, MO, David (Daylene) Gordon, Lamar, MO, Scott (Kristi) Gordon, Lamar, MO, Ralph Gordon, Dallas, TX, Shawn (Brenda) Gordon, Springfield, MO, William Gordon, Edmond, OK; Grandchildren, Kyla Ziegenhagen, D.J. West, Dani Gamble, Kasie Gordon, Demi Gordon, Chelsie (Brandon) Bowling, Charity (Cody) Gardner, Zach (Cyrussia) Gordon, Marc (Elizabeth ) Graves, Bethany (A.J) Eaves, Kaitlyn (Stanley) Hurt, Phajjia Gordon, Riddick Gordon, Dominick Gordon, Jacoby Gordon, Ashley Simpson, Keisha Hardenburger, Branden Gordon, Amanda Gordon, Mellissa Williams, Melinda Burgess, Nicholas (Tam) Gordon, Eric (Michelle) Gordon, John Berryman, Krystal Willet, James Berryman; and many great-grandchildren.Preceding her in  death were her husband, a son Allen Gordon; her parents; three brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, February 22, 2019 at Lamar First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas at 1:30 pm..The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday  at the funeral home.  Contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
