Ella Louise Maggard

Ella Louise Maggard, age 86, of Lamar, Missouri passed away December 17, 2021, Cox Barton County Hospital in Lamar, Missouri.   Ella was born December 21, 1934 in Concordia, Kansas to Francis Mendenhall and Dorothy (Yoder) Mendenhall. On June 14, 1998, Ella married Joe Maggard in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.   Ella worked as a machine operator at Thorco and also worked at Truman Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lamar, MO.   Survivors include her husband, Joe, two sons; Tony Taylor and David (Donna) Taylor and two daughters; Sharon (Roy Sr.) Medlin and Dorothy Winningham (Larry Spencer) all of Lamar, MO., eight grandchildren; Jackie, Melissa, Roy Jr., Trisha, Shane, Crystal, Travis and Chelsa, 25 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, one brother, Ruben (Loretta) Mendenhall of Concordia, Kansas, two sisters; Leila Kourlik of Wichita, Kansas and Charlotte (Earl) Courtney of Lamar, MO.   Ella was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Charles Taylor, one grandson, Christopher Taylor, two brothers and four sisters.   Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, MO.   Condolences may be shared at www.dfhlamar.com
