Eileen Worley

Eileen Worley, age 87, of Lamar died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Lockwood, MO. Eileen was born April 6, 1925 at Nevada, MO to Undrell and Mary (Collins) Withrow. She attended school in Nevada, MO and  on September 19, 1942, she married Melvin Otho Worley at Nevada, MO. She and Melvin moved to Lamar in 2005 from Mindenmines, MO where they owned and operated Minden Services Company for many years.  She was a member of the Nashville Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.  Eileen loved sewing, gardening, camping and fishing. Eileen is survived by one son Jerry and Cathy Worley, of Lamar; three daughters Gracie and Don Wolf, of Liberal, MO Gayle and Douglas Monroe of Oronogo, MO and Anne Worley of Joplin, MO; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Monroe, Toni Morgan, Margo Dawson, Summer Abts, Jason Wolf, Jayna Beebe, Heather Williams, and Allison Scholes; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin; her parents; five brothers, Gene Withrow, Robert Lee (Bob) Withrow, Elwood Withrow, Richard Withrow, and John Mann Jr.; one sister Leora Bond. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Daniel Funeral Home with Mike Perry  officiating.  Burial will be at Worsley Cemetery near Bronaugh, MO. Visitation will be 6 to 7 pm, Monday, April 1, 2013 at Daniel Funeral Home. Contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society in care of Daniel Funeral Home. e.
