Dorothy Breder

Dorothy Lee Breder, age 88, of Lamar, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Barton County Memorial Hospital.        Dorothy was born February 9, 1922, at Bates City, Missouri, to Lee and Dora (Green) Graham.  On December 27, 1945, at Kansas City, Kansas, she married Oscar C. Breder and they lived in Denver, Colorado for several years before moving to rural Jerico Springs to farm.  In addition to being a homemaker and farmwife, Dorothy was an accomplished quilter and managed a quilting business from her home.  After retiring in 1998 they moved to Lamar where Dorothy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.        After celebrating nearly 57 years together, Oscar preceded Dorothy in death November 20, 2002.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Dude Graham, and a sister, Georgia Price.        Survivors include two sons, Terry and Thyra Breder, Arvada, Colorado and Dennis Breder, Jerico Springs; seven grandchildren, Tamara & husband Charlie, Tonya & husband Troy, Christopher, Dewayne, John & wife Kary, Ashley and Angela; nine great-grandchildren, Anthony, Ashley, Jakob, Joshua, Grace, Jacob, Cameron, Sarah and Levi        Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 12th at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Galen Friedrichs officiating.  Graveside committal service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in. Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Jerico Springs.         The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar.
