Deana Morrow

Deana Marie Morrow, age 55, of Lamar, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Truman Healthcare Center.      Deana was born October 2, 1959 in Lamar to James and Wanda (Eversoll) Lewis.  A life-long Lamar resident, Deana loved the outdoors.  She had a deep appreciation of nature and animals, especially quarter horses.  Her natural talent for horse training became apparent while she was a member of the 4-H Roughriders and it remained a joyful pastime throughout her adult life.        On October 15, 1997, at Miami, Oklahoma, Deana married Jimmy W. Morrow and he preceded her in death November 12, 2014.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jimmie Lewis.      Survivors include a daughter, Crista Suggs, Stigler, Oklahoma; a brother, Roger (Linda) McCaslin, Tucson, Arizona; a sister, Suzie (Earl) McCulley, Lamar; a brother-in-law, Don (Linda) Morrow, Coffeyville, Kansas; three grandchildren, Morgan Engle, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Raven Brooke, Lockwood, Missouri, and Koda Collier, Springfield, Missouri; a great-grandson, Aiden Brown, Tulsa; and three nephews, Mike (Kelly) Hull, Matt Lewis, and Allen (Timber) Crockett, all of Lamar.      The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 1st at Daniel Funeral Home.      Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.      Deana’s family is especially grateful for the wonderful attention and tender care the staff of Truman Healthcare Center provided Deana during her stay there.
