Daniel L. Weinstein

Daniel L Weinstein, age 42, of Golden City, Missouri passed away September 27, 2021, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.          Daniel was born June 7, 1979 in Joplin, Missouri to Cecil Ray Weinstein and Deborah Fern (McDonald) Weinstein. Daniel graduated from Golden City High School in the class of 1998. On February 28, 2009, Daniel married Sally Gooden Coy in Lamar, Missouri.   Daniel was a lifetime resident of Golden City, Missouri and worked as a welder at Thorco for 11 years, and most recently worked for Lamar East Primary for 9 years as a custodian. Daniel was a member of the Grace Pentecostal Church in Golden City, Missouri. Daniel loved going on missionary trips and horseback riding. He loved gospel bluegrass and old time gospel and loved working on instruments especially the fiddle and the mandolin, he especially loved teaching his children music and talking to everyone he met about the Lord.   Survivors include his wife Sally, a son; Jimmy Weinstein, two daughters; Katherine Weinstein and Annie Weinstein, his parents, Cecil and Allison Weinstein of Lamar, MO, one sister; Carla (Jared) Owen of Strafford, Missouri, two step-sisters; Abbigail Borghardt of Lamar, MO, and Elizabeth (Kyle) Berry of Springfield, MO along with one step-brother; Christopher Borghardt of Lamar, MO along with many aunts, uncles neices and nephews.   Preceding Daniel in death were his mother, Deborah and his grandparents; Carl and Kay McDonald and Lester and Leona Weinstein.   Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Morehead Cemetery in Lamar, MO.   The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday, October 1, 2021 at the funeral home.   Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Baptist International Missions in care of Daniel Funeral Home.   Condolences may be shared at www.dfhlamar.com
