Corrine Marti

Corrine Fay Marti, age 92, of Lamar, MO passed away June 19, 2019, at Good Shepherd Community Care, Lockwood, MO. Corrine was born March 15, 1927 in Lamar, MO to Cyrus Oscar Stewart and Marie Georgia (Peeler) Stewart. She graduated from Golden City High School and attended Pittsburg Teachers College. On August 19, 1948, Corrine married Dale Kenneth Marti and together they raised eight children.  Corrine was a school teacher, school bus driver, factory worker, talented baker, and loving wife and mother. Survivors include three sons, Larry (Judy) Marti, Lamar, MO, Kent “Butch” (Deidra) Marti, Jasper, MO, and Kevin (Kathy) Marti, Lamar, MO; four daughters, Karel (Wendell) Anliker, Morton, IL, Terri (Jim) Duncan, Lamar, MO, Mary (Jim) Probert, Chouteau, OK, and Schelli Marti, Oronogo, MO; 17 grandchildren, Stacia (Tommy) Forst, Tristan (Kyla) Marti, Tracie (Rob) Enders, Janell (Bart) Rinkenberger, Michael (Mindy) Anliker, Jason Duncan, JoAnn (Jon) Wentland, Andy (Misty) Marti, Kaleb (Katelyn) Marti, Kellen Probert, Kassidy (Jenni) Probert, Trevor Probert, Adam (Jamie) Abbiatti, Nicole (Darin) Braker, Christopher (Katie) Marti, Elizabeth Marti, Alex Marti, and 28 great-grandchildren. Preceding Corrine in death were her husband of 70 years, a son, Fred Marti, a granddaughter, Kaelee Jo Marti, and two sisters; her twin Arlene Marti and Catherine Davis. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Lamar, MO with burial to follow in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church Saturday. Contributions are suggested and made payable to Alzheimer’s Association in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
