Charles Raymond Shaver

Charles Raymond Shaver, age 77, of Liberal, Missouri passed away August 6, 2020.   Charles was born January 1,1943 in Liberal, Missouri to George Buel Shaver and Mary Barbara Trautwein. On July 18, 1971, Charles married Vicki Jo Wingrave in Liberal, MO.   Charles owned Shavers Restoration where he restored antique cars, gas pumps, and vintage motorcycle horns. His appreciation of antiques provided him the freedom to be involved and enjoy being with his family and grandchildren, which were his first true loves.   Survivors include his wife Vicki; a son, George Shaver, Tampa, Florida; two daughters, Barbara (Shane) Poindexter and Misty (Troy) Osterdyk all of Carthage, MO; one brother, Gerald Shaver, Lamar, MO; six grandchildren, Holly Wohlenhaus, Lydia Smith, Mariah Russell, Breanna Osterdyk, Audrey Osterdyk and Jeremy Shaver along with nine great-grandchildren.   Preceding Charles in death were his parents; one son, Robert "Bob" Shaver; two brothers, Paul and Wesley Shaver and one sister Mary Joanna Breedlove.   Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Park Cemetery in Joplin, MO.   Contributions are suggested and made payable to Smile Train in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
