Charles Eugene Marti

Charles Eugene Marti, age 93, of Liberal, Missouri passed away August 1, 2022, at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, Kansas. Charles was born July 30, 1929 in Jasper, Missouri to Louis F. and Olive Belle (Cordill) Marti.
 
On August 30, 1954, Charles married Alice Marie Braker in Jasper, MO. They lived in Lamar for one and a half years before moving to the farm in Liberal where they raised their family.
 
Charles worked as a crop and cattle farmer.

Survivors include two sons, Roger (Kathy) Marti of Liberal, MO and Kurt (Linda) Marti of Lamar, MO; one daughter, Becky (Lawrence) Luthi of Liberal, MO and three sisters-in-law, Kay Marti of Lamar, MO, Delores Marti of Gridley, IL and Bonnie Braker of Liberal, MO. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Alice Marie (Braker) Marti; a daughter, Sandra Luthi; a granddaughter, Ami Pierce; seven brothers, Robert "Bob" Marti, Ed Marti, Dean Marti, Carl Marti, Allen Marti, Don Marti, Roland "Fleeter" Marti; four sisters, Eunice Martin, Polly Schrock, Peg Bucher and Rosemary Degnan.

Charles was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church in Pittsburg, Kansas, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
 
Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, MO. The family will also receive friends from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Lamar, MO., at 1:45 p.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Apostolic Christian Faith Church or the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Pittsburg, Kansas in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
