Charles Lee “Bill” Isaac, age 85, of rural Greenfield, Missouri passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood where he had been a resident for the past month.      Bill was born February 21, 1929 in Bayard, Kansas, one of the eight children of Clarence and Dessie Belle (Davis) Isaac.  After graduating from Moran High School in 1947, Bill worked as a diesel mechanic a short time before joining the U.S. Army.  He served in Japan, the Philippines and Korea.  Returning home, Bill resumed his mechanic career, working for several large construction companies in the Midwest.  He later was the shop foreman for the Ford Dealerships in El Dorado, Kansas for many years.  After retiring, Bill moved the Stockton Lake area where his time was spent fishing, golfing, working on boat and golf cart engines, and participating in the many activities of Washington Lodge #87 AF & AM.    Always interested in the welfare of his community, Bill became the caretaker of his neighborhood and was loved and appreciated by his Ridgeview Road family.      In 1953, at Wichita, Kansas, Bill married Wilma Bolton and they had celebrated nearly forty years together before her death in 1992.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Margaret Isaac and Euleta Diedel; two brothers, Earl Isaac and Arthur Isaac; and two nephews.      Survivors include two brothers, Don (Dorene) Isaac, Branson, and Larry (Carolyn) Isaac, Lamar; a sister, Elaine Page, Moran, Kansas; a brother-in-law, Charles Bolton, Chicago area; many nephews and nieces; and a large extended family.      Funeral services including Masonic Rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1st at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.  Burial will be in Rosebank Cemetery, Mulberry, Kansas.      Contributions are suggested to the Good Endings Program at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
