Betty Madison

Betty Jean Madison, age 73, of Liberal, MO passed away on February 27, 2021 at her home after a short illness. Betty was born July 6, 1947 in Pittsburg, KS and graduated from Liberal High School class of 1965. On December 22, 2001 she married Russell Kane Madison Jr. in Mindenmines, MO. She was a homemaker and loved horses, animals and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended the Christian Church of Mindenmines. Survivors include her husband, Russell; three daughters, Angela Lowrie and Darbi Bilbo, both of Pittsburg, KS, and Jessica Madison, Lamar, MO; two brothers, Don Taylor, Liberal, MO and Paul Helms, Mindenmines, MO; three grandchildren, Lacy Lowery, Joplin, MO, Samuel Etcheson, Konawa, OK and Jona Cofield, Lamar, MO; four great-grandchildren, Abigayle and Junior Lowery, Joplin, MO, and Wyatt Etcheson and Paisley Mae Cole, Konawa, OK. Preceding Betty in death were her parents, one brother, Robert Helms, one sister, Mary St. Clair, and a son-in-law, Wyatt J. Etcheson. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 03, 2021, at Daniel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.
