Arleta Mae Crockett

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Arleta Mae Crockett who left us to join the angels on March 2, 2026, at 78 yrs of life. Arleta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and her presence will be greatly missed by all.

Born on January 30, 1948, in Nevada, Missouri to Paul and Catharine Stangel, Arleta was the oldest of their three children. Arleta grew up and worked on the family farm in Papinville, MO, learning about hard work and dedication, and these traits continued through her life.

Arleta was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Leon of 58yrs. Together they built a solid foundation for their family. They shared the values of family and the grit needed to make a loving long-lasting marriage.

Arleta’s life centered around her family in Texas, Missouri, and Colorado. Many family trips to visit extended family were made over the years. She was happiest when surrounded by family gatherings large or small.

Arleta was a fierce supporter of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent her life dedicated to enriching their lives by words, thoughts, deeds, and actions.

Arleta interacted with hundreds of people in her role as a seamstress. She developed relationships that have lasted over 40 years in this profession.

Arleta was a faithful member of Edge Park United Methodist Church since 1978. She has been an active member of the Seekers Sunday School Class. She participated in the Church Bowling League, as a crafter for the annual Harvest Festival, and as a youth sponsor for the youth group.

Arleta enjoyed watching soccer & softball games of her great-grandchildren, playing croquet and badminton in her back yard with her family and was always ready to play cards or Chinese checkers. She spent countless hours working puzzles and riding rides at Six Flags. She enjoyed traveling over the United States and was an avid Civil War buff and historical buff of the Missouri area where she grew up.

Arleta is survived with deep love by her husband, Leon Crockett of Fort Worth, TX; her children Diane Searle and husband Rob, Christopher Crockett and his wife Pamela; her grandchildren Douglas Levesque and wife Kelsey, Jared Levesque and wife Angelica, Joshua Crockett and wife Elizabeth and Amanda Martinez and husband Estefano and her great grandchildren Madilynn, Donovan, Meridian and Jamisynn Levesque as well as many more family and friends.

Arleta was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Catharine Stangel and her in-laws Claude and Claudine Crockett.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this challenging time. Arleta’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
