Anita F. Crockett

Anita Fern Crockett, age 95, passed Monday, March 24, 2014 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home at Lockwood, MO. Anita was born March 3, 1919 at Lamar, MO to Charles Jacob Suiter and Clara Edna (Dickson) Suiter.  She graduated Mindenmines High School and on June 29, 1943 she married Linn Finley Crocket and he preceded her on November 13, 2006 after 63 years of marriage.  Anita was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mt. Vernon, MO. Survivors include two sons, Charles Crockett, Boaz, AL and Kenneth & Bonnie Crockett, Collins, MO; one daughter, Lillian & Merlin Barnes, Olathe, KS; a daughter-in-law Abigail Crockett, Lockwood, MO; two brothers, Gerald & Louise Suiter, Lamar, MO and Ray & Leona Suiter, Gladstone, MO; a sister-in-law, Zedna Suiter, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Bill Crockett, an infant daughter, Marilyn Crockett; two brothers, Donald Suiter and Ollie Suiter; and one sister Dorothy Wynn. Graveside service will be 4:00 pm Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Oakton Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 3:00 pm Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home. Contributions are suggested to Oakton Cemetery in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
